The Challenge
An introductory video to spark interest in Scenery and find prospective individuals for beta testing of the app.
It showcased a sneak-peek into the app Scenery's development - a spatial computing and storytelling tool. The video had to be snappy with a short overview demonstrating the setup of a location based experience.
Approach
We worked to create a concept that would be eye catching and can be placed in a geo-location. We then found suitable locations for setting up the experience in the app, for this Arthur used Google 3D tiles to ensure accurate placement of the 3D Whale asset. The locations were Berlin Cathedral and Altes Museum.
Following this, Marc and I recorded the experiences at the physical museum with an iPhone and Gimbal. After 3 hours of shooting from every angle, some technical glitches, we final had enough footage.
After which, I sorted through the footage to find the most suitable clips and layouts to compile it with the technical workflow screen recordings of the app.
Outcome and Impact
On X, formerly Twitter, the post received over 7.5K views, with 7 reposts, 38 likes. The video on LinkedIn received positive engagement as well with over 127 likes, 45 comments and 10 reposts.
